We recently attended the musical Spamalot at the Greenville Theatre! It was EXCELLENT and laugh out loud hysterical! The acting was superior, the set a perfect addition, and the singing was spot-on!!! The Lady of the Lake needs to spend more time on stage (lol...it's in the play)!! We have season tickets and look forward to the next spectacular production!
Our experience in just one word "Wonderful"! We loved it!
The staff is friendly and professional. The sets are beautifully crafted. I've been a technical director before and I really appreciate it when the sound and lighting are as well done as the performance. The cast was exceptional... They're funny, talented, entertaining, and delivered a great performance.
We bought season passes for my family and it's been so nice to get my adult children together for such an amazing night of entertainment. Please express my thanks to the cast, crew, and staff. You're all rockstars.
Max you outdid yourself on this show! Charlie & The Chocolate Factory was exceptional! Far exceeded our expectations. Perfectly casted. The actors who played Charlie & Willy Wonka were amazing. We plan to see the show again before closing.
Loved the atmosphere, can't wait to see another performance.
Great theater for showcasing local vocal and acting talents. Reasonably price with not a bad seat in the place. Producing Artistic Director adds lots of local touches so you have to be on your toes to catch these. Nice way to spend a few hours away from reality.
I have been enjoying performances here for many years. I AM NEVER DISAPPOINTED!! The acting is SUPERB!!! The sets are great. The lighting is excellent. The building itself is lovely.
You can enter through the SIDE doors (NOT the glass doors) in order to BYPASS THE STAIRS.
PARKING is free. Most parking is located on a parking deck behind the theatre, though some parallel parking is in front of the theatre, and a few handicapped spaces are available on the LEFT SIDE of the building, which is very close to the SIDE DOOR. Through that side door (NOT the glass side door), you enter on a WIDE aisle that is LEVEL with the stage. Sitting on that row, you will have plenty of room for your legs to extend, or even for an electric wheelchair to park.
The RESTROOMS are also on this level. You just need to go outside through one of the two side doors, then go ahead to the glass doors. The restrooms are inside on the right side of the room, whereas the ticket window is on the left side.
*It's a LOVELY building full of elegant spiral stairs that you NEVER have to use if you'd rather not. *Well planned, I'd say!!
On a personal note, I saw my first play here at 13 years of age. It was ANNIE, and she worked with a real, golden lab dog. Max was directing then I think.
You might want to look at the well kept SCRAPBOOKS that are near the box office.
Note: If you volunteer here, you will be given many perks, such as free shows, etc.
Greenville charm with incredible cast and crew. We've never had a bad experience and attended multiple performances. Highly recommend for date night or activity while visiting Greenville. You are allowed to take drinks into the theater too! Relatively easy to walk downtown to/from the theater. Tickets prices are reasonable (well worth it!). Seats are a little tight, buy aisle seat tickets or a less crowded section if possible. No bad seats in the house.
The Greenville Theater is a great venue. My wife and I went to see Spamalot and we thoroughly enjoyed it. All of the attendants were courteous, friendly, and helpful. Thanks y’all!
